Plural noun ineffables was, for a time, a jocular euphemism for "trousers" (1823). Related: Ineffably.

Commuovere is a word usually lost in translation that comes close to meaning “heartwarming,” but in the sense that it directly relates to a story that has touched one so deeply that it has moved one to affectionate tears.

Someone referred to me as "inimitably electrifying" in a blog post a few weeks ago. *scratches head and wonders if that is a good thing* I'll simply say: the dude below is inimitably hot!

Yes, the printed and bound relics we call a books are properly referred to as a codices—singularly a codex. A codex has multiple separate leaves of written, printed, or illustrated matter, bound between two protective covers. This format has been with us for nearly two thousand years.
